Allow me to Introduce Myself...
Whether I'm at a hard rock concert in the heart of the city or a bonfire on a gravel road in the middle of nowhere, I am always searching for design inspiration. Graphic design is my passion, which is lucky for you, because this desire to design will be applied towards the entirely custom project we will create together! Design by Faith products and identities are guaranteed to possess a unique and professional aesthetic, influenced by your desires, my own personal and professional experiences, and extensive research.
During my time as a student at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, I learned to utilize graphic design to integrate my lifelong interests of art and writing. Most nights were spent in either a graphic design lab or a drawing studio, often until 4:00 in the morning! This same work ethic, along with my positive attitude and creative ingenuity, will be applied to the work I produce for you. I specialize in developing stunning wedding stationery and custom invitations for various occasions, as well as logos and a variety of print materials. Whether you are looking for breathtaking watercolor artwork or ultra-contemporary digital illustration, if you imagine it, I will create it!
My personal story...
In the spring of 2015, I graduated from Clarke with my Bachelor of Fine Arts / Emphasis in Graphic Design / Minor in Writing. That same year I married my husband, Tim, in August; we moved into our forever home on our wedding night, and I accepted a new job that week! (I'm not afraid of a challenge, and that week proved it!) I started Design by Faith in October of 2018 as a creative outlet and freelance business in addition to my day job. Each project that comes across my desk offers an exciting new challenge that I can't wait to solve, which ensures that you will receive a top-quality design--at an unmatched price.
The year 2020 was life-changing for everyone, but my life changed in the best way. On February 28, 2020, Tim and I welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Morgan, into our lives. She's a red-haired, smarty-pants, farm girl that creates small tornadoes everywhere she goes, and I wouldn't want it any other way! In July of 2020, I was offered an opportunity at Kirkwood Community College to teach Graphics Academy to high school students. It's rewarding to offer a unique perspective with the goal of inspiring my students to express their creativity in new and unexpected ways.
When not spending time with family, designing, or teaching, my hobbies include running, swimming, hunting for morel mushrooms, gardening, traveling, and attending county fairs. I deeply enjoy going to Mass every Sunday.
I can't wait to meet you, whether it's in person or online, and get to work!
